Lesson Sequence:
2.Teach the correct way to sanitize-
Explain Computer Lab Rules - Discuss the rules of the computer lab,
talk about how to sit in the chairs, raising hand to go to the bathroom,
taking a buddy with you to the bathroom, washing hands before returning from bathroom.
Discuss keeping hands to oneself, no running in the lab, keeping fingers out of
mouth and nose. Following the same rules as in the regular classroom . Go over sanitizer
procedures.
7 Habits
(Using student login cards/login to each computer with the student while they are watching the videos- so you set up computer with the correct student.) Follow the following directions to set-up computers then students can do student links....

Discuss Arthur's choices after you have set-up computers: What were some Proactive alternatives.
Talk to the students about what it means to Be Proactive: taking initiative,
taking responsibility for your actions and emotions, and focusing on things you
can do something about. Discuss how being proactive can be helpful every day—
at home and at school. What are some behaviors that would show you are
being proactive? As the students brainstorm a list, write the behaviors on the board.
Review Habit 1: Be Proactive. Part of being proactive is to be in control
of your actions and emotions.
Stopping to think before they act will allow them to be more in control and have better relationships.

If the students do not have computers set up, then do the following first when students login to their computers.Do this step by step with the each student as they watch video using the classlist or you can do with the whole class as you show them on the smartboard. (username: lastnamefirstname

Computer Set-UP
When students go to computers for the first time they must login to computers

Then they will
1. go to system preferences and go to Mouse make sure right click is secondary button
2. close systme preferences
3. Go to Finder click on Applications right click on Application and "Add to Dock"
4. close finder
5. Click on applications on the dock
6. Click on Firefox
7. Click on Use Firefox as Default Browser
8. Click on Use Firefox
9.go to address bar and type in.... bit.ly/mvesteach
10. Our tech lab website should be open now....
11. Go to Firefox on taskbar and click on Preferences
10. Click on general if not already there...Look for HOME PAGE
11. Click on Use current Page
12. Look for Firefox on the DOCK and right click
13. Go to options and click on KEEP ON DOCK
14. Now red dot close firefox and firefox quit
15. Now click on firefox on the dock if it opens correctly you have succeeded!

Review of Typing Stage 1: Demonstrate how to use Dance Mat Typing stage one, level one ( ASDF,JKL; and G, H ). Review the homerow and proper finger technique.
