Laptop Computer Set-Up

 

Login:

Go to Finder

Go to Applications

Right Click and add to dock

 

Go to dock and find Applications Folder. Find Firefox and click on it

Click on Use Firefox as Default Browser and then Click on Use Firefox.

Go to the Address bar

(not Google Search) type in http://montevistatechlab.pbworks.com

For our tech lab site make sure it opens to tech lab

Go to Firefox Preferences and Click on General if not already there…Look for HomePage click on Use current page so it will always open to our techlab. Make sure it says montevistatechlab and not yahoosearch!

In Firefox Go to Tools to install your Adblocker-.

In Tools Go to- Add-ons.

 

 

In the Add-ons page go to the search box and type in Adblocker. If you do not see a search box go to the puzzle piece on the left (click on Extensions and you will find search bar.

Look for Adblocker Plus (stop sign with ABP) and install.

Go to Firefox on the dock and right click

Go to options and click on keep on dock

Exit out of Firefox now. Red dot close. Firefox quit.

Go to Applications on the dock and click on Microsoft Word. Click on Get started then skip sign in.

Click on colorful and continue.

 

Go to dock and right click- go to options and keep on the dock…

To remove unwanted apps from the dock, right click-options-remove from dock. These are all the apps that should be on your dock!
