Students will be introduced to online web resources to "research" by using the student links above. Pairs will find important facts about their president. TSW use Word to write this President Biography information. Learning Sequence: Students will first tell what they know about the presidents (Brainstorm and write brainstorming session on Smartboard Notebook: building background. Students will watch Brain Pop video of each president and add all of the newly acquired information. Brain Pop Jr. George Washington Students will be introduced to online web resources to "research". Pairs will find important facts about their president. TSW use Word to write this President Biography information. Content Objective: Technology Operations The students will use Smartboard to find matched pairs. Collaboration: Students will work in pairs to find matched pairs Students will review dragging, dropping, and adding color to visual space in the holiday websites. |
Language Objective: Students will discuss all the matched pairs and tell why they belong together. Examples: sock/feet bat/ball, etc. |
Learning Sequence: Students will hear the history of Valentine's Day. They will discuss why this is a holiday that is a special day for loved ones. This is when we will discuss things that go together such as ball/bat, sock/feet, etc. We will also use Starfall site and make valentines using connecting words such as and/because.... When we finished lesson as a group the students will go to the student links and work on some of the the Valentine sites. These sites will reinforce dragging, dropping, adding color, in addition to counting. |

2. Students will do Dance Mat Typing for 10 minutes.

4. Students will view BrainPop video on President's Day-George Washington (click on this)and then Presidents' Day- Abraham Lincoln (click on this) username: montevistaes password: brainpop
5. Students will the continue their resolutions by going to Microsoft Word and working on their resolutions. THIRD GRADE WILL NOT USE PHOTO BOOTH AND INSERT PICTURES Students will PRINT NEXT WEEK.... students can use the direction sheet I have provided. Microsoft Word: Use MSWord Resolution Checklistfor this project.
6. As students finish their resolutions they can begin going to the Presidents' Day Links.
7. Make sure you begin having students close applications and logout 8 minutes before class is over.
