2. Collaboration: Students will work in pairs to create a 5 slide PowerPoiint Presentation of one of the presidents

 

Language Objective:

Students will discuss what is similar and different (compare and contrast) about the presidents. Students  write and present ten facts about each president.

Learning Sequence:

Students will Login and do keyboarding practice with Dance Mat Typing for the first fifteen minutes.

Content Objective: Technology Operations

The students will use Smartboard to find matched pairs.

Collaboration: Students will work in pairs to find matched pairs

Students will review dragging, dropping, and adding color to visual space in the holiday websites.

Language Objective:

Students will discuss all the matched pairs and tell why they belong together.

Examples: sock/feet

bat/ball, etc.

Learning Sequence:

Students will hear the history of Valentine's Day. They will discuss why this is a holiday that is a special day for loved ones. This is when we will discuss things that go together such as ball/bat, sock/feet, etc. We will also use Starfall site and make valentines using connecting words such as and/because....

When we finished lesson as a group the students will go to the student links and work on some of the the Valentine sites. These sites will reinforce dragging, dropping, adding color, in addition to counting.
