  • Once students have logged into Voki, they will finish their vokies by clicking on their icon and clicking on edit. The teacher will listen/check the text box to make sure that the student has selected one of the 7 habits to make their goal. Have student take out the words: New Year's Resolution and insert My goal is to.... 
  • TSW then go to the keyboarding site and watch movie, do the three home row lessons and then do speed builder.
  •  Try to research an animal they do not know about.(Go to Animals A-Z in the Animal
  • Binder-show some examples)

1. What is the appearance? (What does it look like?)

2. What are its characteristics? (What it is like?)

3. What is its diet? (What does it eat?)

4. What is its habitat? (Where does it live?)

5. What is an interesting fact? (What is special?)

 

Assessment: 

  • Explain how to use a search engine such as KIDZSEARCH after they have explored different animals. Show them to be aware of the ads versus factual information.
  • Explain how to save an image or drag an image into PowerPoint.
  • Show students how to drag a sound clip to their research project.
