LARGE GROUP AT CARPET
1. Learning Sequence: Christmas Celebrations
a. Ask students: Do they have traditions in their own homes? Special foods,do they open a gift on Christmas Eve?
Do they celebrate Hannukah or do they not celebrate this holiday at all? compare and contrast their traditions...
b. Click on Christmas Livebinder Noteboook
2. Begin with Brainpop on Winter Holidays 1
user/pw....(montevistaes/brainpop)
4. Listen to the Polar Express by VanAllsburg on online storytime scroll for the story on the livebinder.
5. If time allows, check out Christmas Around the World.
6. If book available in library: A new and improved Santa
by Patricia Wolf then students can create a new Santa on Paint program
7. or they can do the Games section at student computers in the livebinder.

Lesson Sequence:
In large group on the carpet:
1. NO STORY TODAY!
2. GO over the student links one at a time so students know to go in the right order and how to do them.
At the Computers
Students will login to:
1. Computers first (lastnamefirstname/lcpslunchnumber)
and then do links on the right.
2. Then Fasttmath: lastnamefirstname tab password: lunchnumber
on Fasttmath have them do the entire first lesson
3.Then they can do the other student links on the right....
