PowerPoint Slides will have the following Five Required Animal Facts. Each week we will learn how to research and save image for each slide category.
Week #1
1. What is the appearance? (What does it look like?)
2. What are its characteristics? (What it is like?)
Week #2
3. Where is it found? (what part of the world can you find your animal?)
4. What is its habitat? (Where does it live?)
Week #3
5.What is its diet? (What does it eat?)
Week#4
6. What are three interestings fact? (What is special?)
Week 5: Voki/Blabberize/Thinglink or sock puppets

Student will use the livebinder below to begin animal research
project.
1. Use the Livebinder to select your animal. Go to A to Z Animals first. Animal Research Project Livebinder.
2.Create your PowerPoint. Complete the title slide and the Name of your animal slide.Drag the picture of your animal to that slide.
3.Continue researching your animal using the PowerPoint Template
4. Use Google Junior search engine for more images

1. Introduce Animal Project with BrainPop Mammals
2. Go over Kidzone Mammals info first!
If time allows do the following:
Introduce Animal Research Project
1. Select animal together. Write student name and name of animal from A-Z animals....must be unique and one they have never heard of....You may select an animal then show picture....Do this student by student...
2. Students will go to computer and download Animal Research Template and save to the desktop.
3. Students will fill out first two slides...
Name of student and name of animal and picture of the animal.

KEYBOARDING FIRST
1. Use the Livebinder to select your animal. Go to A to Z Animals first.
2.Now that you have selected your animal download Animal Research PowerPoint and use "Save As" to save your PowerPoint to the desktop and your file.
3.Create your PowerPoint. Complete the title slide and the Name of your animal slide.Drag the picture of your animal to that slide.
